Single stone forms are beautifully complete just as they are. Look more closely and discover the opening of the vase. Perfect for displaying silk flowers or branches.

Caldera Vases represent an exploration in contrasts. The open forms continue to embody the stone-like qualities and balance themes consistent in my work. Yet they also explore the visual contrasts of heavy stone shapes with paper thin, torn edges. The throw lines left on the interiors of the pieces help create a dialogue with the striations on the outsides. Layered Shino glazes on the inside complete the individualized effects.
